Jet Pose Picture
Drawn from a
still I have of Jet on his UK visit. I chose this picture because
I really like the stance Jet's in! I wanted to try and capture the
grace and style that he has whenever he pulls a stance. I used my
graphics tablet to sketch him, and colour him in. I wanted it to
have a sketchy feel to it, so I left all the sketch lines in. I
could have cleaned the whole picture up and have it looking all
nice and neat, but that wasn't the point! I think I achieved what
I wanted with this picture. Showing Jets true martial arts skill!

Black Mask Picture
This picture
was sketched from the Black mask Movie poster. I chose this picture
because it had good textures and shapes. I used a mechanical pencil
to draw it so shading wasn't as easy as it should have been. If
u look closely u can see I used cross-hatching to achieve the gradient
effect in places!

Wong Fei Hung Picture
Dear Jet,
First of all I'd just like to
wish you a very Happy Birthday Jet! I hope that this year you'll
achieve even more than previously, and you continue to go from strength
to strength making it BIG in Hollywood!
Secondly, I would also like to congratulate
you on your first leading Hollywood movie Romeo Must Die. My efforts
to go and the movie on its day of release in the states were more
than worthwhile. But the highlight of the trip was definitely getting
to meet you in person. I really can't put into words what it was
like meeting someone who I have admired and looked up to since such
a young age. After years of watching your films and following you
in the many roles that have made you famous, I still couldn't believe
that I was actually standing and talking to you. It was an unreal
and amazing experience! I can honestly say that it's one of the
most memorable moments in my life! I would like to take this opportunity
to thank you for your time, which allowed me get to know you as
a person.
Many of my friends and family have said
that my talent in art is a gift. So therefore I have drawn a picture
as a gift to you depicting you in your Wong Fei Hung role which
you are probably most famous for.
I will continue to support you and watch
your movies as I hope that you will continue to make great films
now that you are in Hollywood and rise to the edge of the movie
industry, like you did in Hong Kong.
