have seen your 1st movie "The Shaolin Temple" in 1983. I like your movies and
your characters in the movies very much. Not only that you are the greatest
martial artist but also all of your characters have a moral ground. Your
biography is also inspiring as well. You are the role model in discipline and

I know today
is your birthday and I as a ardent fan of yours should not hurt you. However, I
would like to voice up my feeling towards your movies these few years. The
standard of your movies has been deteriorating badly since you ventured into
the Hollywood market. Your movies even lack the plot and martial arts
choreography also not up to the mark. Americans may find the Kung Fu very
breathtaking but for us Chinese, we have higher expectation from you. Quality
of movies cannot be stagnant as viewers will have growing expectation. In my
opinion, the Americans would like to see the real Kung Fu and not martial arts
with a lot of stunning effects and wire support. Very soon, the facts of
martial arts will be distorted and reputation will be tarnished. Their hope is
that you can become the another Bruce Lee in their hearts. So far, Hong Kong
celebrities who have broken into the Hollywood market have not been performing
very well with no outstanding box office. Sometime! s their movies may even be
classified as B-grade movies. Try to figure out the real reasons behind this
failure.
I know my
message will certainly hurt someone out there, especially you. However, I'm
sure that many Chinese will welcome you back to Hong Kong to produce more
excellent Kung Fu movies with rich plot. I remember you once said that you will
not go to the Tinseltown to make movies because you are aware that the
Americans are taking advantage of you to penetrate the vast Chinese market.
I would not
mind if this message will be censored or banned. If it happens to get through
the screening, I would like Jet and all of his fans to spare a few minutes to
ponder about this subject. Thank you very much.

Dear Jet, Hi! I'm one of your #1 fans. I have to tell you that your
movies are the best ones ever. Throughout the years I have never seen anyone
that can move as quick like you. The movie that I first notice you in was
"Lethal Weapon 4". I was saying to myself, " He can fight better than Jean
Claude Van Dame, but better." Being inspire by you through your martial arts
has made become more appreciative about learning how to fight, but I can't
really fight like you. Well writing to you has made feel really good about
myself, being a African American (Black Female) becoming a #1 Fan of Jet Li. I

have heard a lot about you but have never seen a movie of yours till I saw the
trailers for RMD. I was intrigued and inspired. The movie is wonderfully
entertaining and I have seen it 2 and a half times already. I am taking a
friend on Wednesday to see it with me (again!). You are a believable and
